RECENT TREND IN THE TREATMENT OF ALLERGIC DISEASES

Abstract
|
|
|
Recently remarkable progress has been accomplished also in the fields of experimental and clini ;al allergology, especially atopic allergies, in association with the development of immunology, immunochemistry, nuclear medicine and hormonology.
And it has certainly contributed to diagnosis and treatment of the allergic diseases.
In this brief review recent trend in the treatment of allergic diseases (chiefly atopic diseases) is discussed with the following subjects.
1. Specific hypo sensitization treatment
2. Refraction to the treatment of bronchial asthma
A. On the treatment with sympathicomimetic drugs
B. About the treatment with adrenocorticosteroids
3. Non specific modulation therapy
gold preparation, vaccine, histaglobin etc.
4. New developed anti-allergic agents
A. Disodium cromoglycate (Cromolyn sodium, Intal)
B. Immunosuppresive therapeutics (antimetabolites)
C. Triamcinolone derivatives esp. on the triamcinolone acetonide
